What happens to a request

One connection to build. Bidbox handles each agency behind it.

  1. Send the check

    Your system, or your team in the dashboard, sends the details with a purpose and consent.

  2. Bidbox checks the rules

    Is the check approved for you, is the purpose stated, is there balance? If not, it stops here, unbilled.

  3. The agency answers

    The request goes to the agency's own service. The agency stays the source of the record.

  4. You get a clean result

    The same format for every check, saved to your activity log with ID and phone numbers masked.

Pay from a prepaid wallet, topped up by M-Pesa or bank transfer. A check is billed at your agreed rate when the agency answers.

Trust, built into each request

Bidbox is registering with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner as a data controller and processor.

  • No purpose, no check

    Every request states why it is run and confirms consent or another lawful basis, as the Data Protection Act, 2019 requires.

  • Serial first, then details

    For an ID search, the serial number on the card must match before any personal details come back.

  • Masked in your history

    Logs and history show 12****78, never the full ID or phone number. Full results are shown once, to the person who ran the check.

  • Every request on record

    Who ran it, when, for what purpose, the outcome and the charge, kept so you and regulators can audit how data was used.

  • The agency stays the source

    Bidbox runs the connection and the controls. The official record stays with the government agency.
